The Theron Empire is a militaristic, expansionist interstellar power and a principal rival of the Harmonic Accord. Resource acquisition, political pressure and covert influence accompany overt force. Its Earth intervention includes a protectorate framework and an administrative role assigned to China.

The Empire employs military force, resource acquisition, political pressure and covert influence. Oron describes an earlier period in which its Council of High Commanders armed the Dominion as a proxy against the Accord. Later Imperial Annals condemn Dominion interference, reflecting a changing relationship between separate powers.

Commander Sarron directs the Qorvax formation. During the intervention on Earth, he designates China the provisional representative authority under Theron jurisdiction and orders the transfer of multilateral functions to a Civil Administration. The Theron people and the Empire’s institutions are distinct subjects.
