The central saga

The P.X Trilogy

Three generations face the consequences of humanity’s first contact.

A secret takes root in Vienna in 1815. Two centuries later, an unexpected message reaches Kai Carson, a naval architect whose lifelong fascination with the stars has never prepared him for an answer.

Earth is entering a galaxy with established powers, disputed borders, and histories humanity knows nothing about. Its arrival threatens an uneasy balance. As Kai becomes entangled in that struggle, the consequences reach his family and continue into the lives of his son and grandson.

Across three volumes, P.X follows the Carson family through first contact, divided loyalties, and a widening mystery about Earth’s place in galactic history.

An imagined panorama connecting historic Vienna with Earth and interstellar space
A world entering someone else’s history
First contact / Competing powers

Humanity discovers that the galaxy has never been waiting for it.

The Harmonic Accord seeks to preserve an order built through diplomacy, restraint, and uneasy compromise. The Theron Empire pursues expansion and control. Earth’s position and its deposits of veridite, a mineral valuable to interstellar travel, draw it into their competing interests.

On Earth, governments and institutions confront possibilities they are scarcely equipped to understand. Protection comes with conditions. Intervention creates consequences. Decisions made in humanity’s name become inseparable from the ambitions of powers beyond it.

Kai must navigate this unfamiliar order while protecting the people closest to him. The struggle that begins around Earth gradually reaches deeper into the civilizations surrounding it, where inherited beliefs, political loyalties, and incomplete histories shape what each side considers true.

Meanwhile, traces of an older connection persist. A family relic, unexplained signals, and echoes between distant cultures suggest that first contact may leave humanity with as many questions about its past as its future.

P.X: No Man’s Space

In 1815, diplomat Conrad Laurent becomes part of a secret whose consequences will outlive him. Two centuries later, his descendant Kai Carson receives a message that draws him into humanity’s first true contact.

As the Harmonic Accord and the Theron Empire pursue different futures for Earth, Kai becomes an unexpected intermediary between humanity and an ancient galactic order. Covert influence and growing political divisions make every decision more dangerous, while the legacy reaching back to Vienna takes on new significance.

The opening volume brings historical mystery, first contact, and political intrigue into the life of a father whose family becomes inseparable from the stakes.

Book II Forthcoming

Title to be announced

The consequences of first contact deepen as the story moves further into the struggle between Earth, the Accord, and the Empire.

Atlas Carson’s identity and loyalties become central to a conflict that reaches across political borders and through his own family. Kai must confront how profoundly the forces he encountered have reshaped their lives, while relationships within the Empire complicate assumptions about allegiance and belonging.

As unfamiliar discoveries draw competing interpretations, the powers surrounding Earth pursue answers through the beliefs and ambitions they already hold. The distance between father and son gives the galactic conflict its most personal stakes.

Book II explores how loyalty is formed, how convictions harden, and what happens when love and allegiance pull in different directions.

Book III Forthcoming

Title to be announced

The third Carson generation moves to the center of the story as Conrad Carson Jr. confronts a legacy shaped by conflicting loyalties and unfinished questions.

The mystery surrounding Earth reaches beyond the explanations offered by the galaxy’s established powers. Ancient histories and long-obscured connections acquire new significance, challenging the assumptions on which civilizations have built their identities.

The concluding volume brings the family’s unresolved conflicts into contact with the trilogy’s widest questions: what a civilization owes to its past, what unity asks of those who enter it, and whether an inherited purpose can determine a future.

What passes from one generation to the next
The human thread

The Carson family carries the emotional thread of P.X. Fathers and sons inherit the consequences of one another’s decisions, often without sharing the beliefs that produced them. Love survives alongside resentment, distance, and incompatible loyalties.

Those tensions echo between civilizations. Protection can become control; restraint can leave others exposed. The histories that institutions preserve do not always account for the lives shaped by them.

Each generation must decide what to preserve and what to question. A private choice about trust, belonging, or fatherhood can change lives far beyond the family.

Some connections take another reading
A closer reading

Recurring symbols, objects, numbers, and apparently incidental conversations connect generations and distant parts of the story. A familiar detail may acquire a meaning that was invisible when it first appeared.

The story stands on a first reading. Returning to it reveals quieter connections, cultural references, and playful nods for attentive readers.
