AV-565 combines an elegant exterior with the discipline of a strategic installation. Early narration places it in the Vespera/Lacaille 9352 system; the later strategic-deck record specifies synchronous orbit around Lacaille 9352-b. Its amphitheatre uses holographic and acoustic-mapped interfaces. The system view is rendered, not seen through a window.
At a glance
- Lacaille 9352 / Vespera system
- Exterior spiralling towers and living alloy
- Windowless strategic deck
- Holographic amphitheatre and acoustic-mapped interfaces

Selected passages from P.X: No Man’s Space.
AV-565 drifted in orbit around the red dwarf Lacaille 9352, known to the Arcanians as Vespera. The station held position at the threshold of the Neutral Zone, where the Harmonic Accord and the Theron Empire scrutinized one another across an invisible frontier. It was a place of vigilance, one of many listening posts serving as sentinels in a long, cold contest of ideology and expansion.
The outpost looked cultivated rather than constructed. Spiraling towers unfolded from a central hub, clad in a living alloy that scattered starlight in drifting shades of blue and silver. Light tracked the inner pathways, and the air held a clean, charged stillness. Arcanis design favored grace over menace, yet the tranquil exterior of AV-565 concealed a station built for war in all but name.
He stepped into air colder than Arcanis Prime, balanced on an ion-tuned calibration. Vespera Station was built for clarity, not comfort. Its corridors were designed to pare distraction from the mind; gradient pulses ran the walls and reacted to anyone near. Behind him, two junior officers stood at the threshold. The Listec was rarely activated, and never without cause.
Vespera’s strategic deck curved outward in a wide amphitheater of holograms and acoustic-mapped interfaces. No viewports. In their place, a wall-sized rendering of Lacaille 9352 filled the forward arc, its red-dwarf oscillations casting plasma threads through the system display. Orbital lanes ringed the system’s core. More circled Lacaille 9352-b, each tagged with ship routes and registries. Tactical vectors flared as fresh telemetry streamed in: course shifts, shield metrics, trace energy trails.
The designation: Vespera Station AV-565, in synchronous orbit around the dead world cataloged as Lacaille 9352-b.
