Marcus Hale is a human systems engineer with an open face, an easy grin and a loose stride. His colleagues know his instinctive feel for machinery.

The Skarn infiltrator kills him and assumes his appearance. Although the face and posture are copied, colleagues notice changes in timing and behaviour.
